Such a joyful time of the year!
Colourful lights shimmering along the high streets at night, people wearing funny jumpers (and hopefully funny masks) and Mariah Carey’s carol going viral.
Everyone is feeling the festive spirit, right?
Well, kind of. I must admit, a pandemic Christmas is not the best.
Though, if you feel a bit down, think about something else struggling even more: The Earth!
With lockdown relaxing and shops reopening, hordes of people will take to the high streets and swarm in the shopping malls to grab tons of cards, decorations and presents of all sorts.
“What’s wrong with that?” someone will shout.
One huge problem: Plastic Waste!
I’m not totally against swapping presents, but we should seriously rethink the way this works.
